Enjoy F.E.A.R.

Your heart beats rapidly as though it might burst through your chest any minute. Your hands are clammy and your stomach is tied up in knots. It’s hard to concentrate. You know logically that there is no reason to feel the fear that is gripping your gut, but you feel out-of-control and powerless to do anything about it. This is not the first time this has happened, because you are at home watching a DVD.

People often say that they experience f.e.a.r., when describing their experience with a certain genre of movies. However, f.e.a.r. involves the belief that one is in danger and people are not normally in danger, while watching a DVD at home.

People in this situation are involved in a game of make believe, which appears very real. Are the feelings false? Or, is the perception of reality a bit cloudy? One can easily observe the clammy hands and the rapid pulse. So, they must be real.

In this case, one can only conclude that the person experiencing feelings of f.e.a.r. is a bit out of touch with reality and that brings up the macro theme of this web site - what is reality?. But, the point I wish to make here is that the viewer of a scary movie is voluntarily putting him/herself in a state of f.e.a.r., because... it is fun to experience f.e.a.r. and it is also very easy to alter our reality, at will.

Positively and consciously altering our reality is a skill, which we all must learn. F.E.A.R. can be used as a teaching aid, for learning reality skills.

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate but that we are powerful beyond all measure. It is the Light, not the darkness that frightens most people and this state does not serve them well. You are born to manifest Reality. As you use your understanding of f.e.a.r. to permit your own Light to shine, you will be giving other people encouragement to do the same. When you are liberated from f.e.a.r., your presence naturally liberates others.

Any questions??
